- Location: Akron, Ohio (44304) — Akron healthcare opportunity
- Setting: 30-bed MS/TELE acuity-adaptable unit (medical-surgical/telemetry)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (June 14, 2026 – September 12, 2026)
- Shift: 12 Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — Telemetry RN / Night Shift
- Hours per Week: 36
- Type: Travel Nursing, On-Site
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent MS/TELE experience required (medical-surgical and telemetry nursing)
- Epic EMR experience within the last 12 months (must be listed on resume) — Epic certified experience preferred
- Phlebotomy experience within the last 12 months
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Accredited nursing degree (ACEN or CCNE)
- Willingness to float to other units as needed (flexible telemetry nurse)
- Solid black scrubs required
- Charge nurse experience highly preferred, or willingness to be trained
- Interview required; please list available dates/times when applying
- Maximum 7 days of requested time off (RTO); no RTO allowed in first two weeks
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry setting, adapting to varying acuity levels (cardiac telemetry & MS)
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and respond to telemetry alarms
- Perform phlebotomy, medication administration, and other clinical tasks as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units based on facility needs and support medical-surgical care
- If assigned as charge nurse: manage patient assignments, perform pyxis and crash cart checks, assign admissions, liaise with supervisors, and coordinate breaks/meals
