Description
Duties
Conduct thorough patient evaluations, including medical history assessments and physical examinations.
Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as medical imaging and laboratory tests to inform treatment plans.
Develop individualized treatment plans that may include medication management, physical therapy, and lifestyle modifications.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care for patients with complex conditions.
Educate patients about their conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures.
Stay current with advancements in rheumatology and incorporate evidence-based practices into patient care.
Participate in infection control protocols to ensure patient safety during treatments.
Utilize electronic health record systems such as eClinicalworks for documentation and patient management.
Requirements
Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution with completion of a residency in Internal Medicine followed by a fellowship in Rheumatology.
Board certification in Rheumatology is preferred.
Experience in managing chronic conditions such as Osteoperosis, Rheumatoid, Gout a plus.
Familiarity with pathology related to rheumatic diseases and experience in home care settings are advantageous.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment are essential.
