- Senior EHS Specialist Consultant

Harris & Lee Environmental Sciences (“HLENV”) seeks an experienced EHS professional for a full-time position. Since 2006, our EHS team has been providing consulting support to a broad spectrum of industries, including biotech/pharmaceutical, technology, manufacturing, and local governments. Our greatest need is currently focused on the San Francisco, Peninsula, and South Bay areas. HLENV has always been a virtual company. All our consultants work from their home offices in the San Francisco Bay Area when not engaged at clients. Requirements
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Able to provide technical guidance on a range of environmental, health and safety topics with a business-minded approach to ensure client EHS compliance.
2. Conduct site health and safety and waste management inspections/audits.
3. Prepare and present client training, both in-person and virtually.
4. Prepare technical documents.
5. Conduct IH monitoring assessments, analyze data, and prepare reports (experience preferred, however not mandatory).
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. A minimum of 5-8 years of EHS experience (required). CIH and/or CSP a plus.
2. Comprehensive knowledge of federal and state regulations and business practices, including a general broad knowledge of environmental, health and safety best management practices.
3. Experience reviewing air sampling results and drafting reports under the guidance of a CIH (preferred).
4. Capable of calibrating sampling equipment and conducting noise and air sampling for metals, volatile organic compounds, and aerosols (preferred).
5. Experience with performing IH monitoring and exposure assessments (preferred).
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Also possessing strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Candidate must be highly motivated, resourceful, and able to prioritize the needs of multiple clients.
8. Candidate must be able to work independently, with minimal guidance, providing on-site and off-site client support.
9. Live in the San Francisco Bay Area for regular onsite client visits.
10. Access to a vehicle for travel to and from client sites.
11. The ability, and opportunity, to work flexible hours to accommodate clients’ needs.
12. Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
