Practice Setting

• Inpatient psychiatry serving adults ages 18 and older
• Care delivered alongside interdisciplinary treatment teams including social work and nursing support
• Clinical focus on assessment, diagnosis, and ongoing evaluation with regular chart review expectations
• Assignment created due to ongoing staffing needs while permanent recruitment continues

Schedule

• Full time coverage preferred, Monday through Friday
• Eight hour days or four 10 hour shifts available
• Thirty two hours per week considered, forty hours per week preferred
• Backup call is a plus if you want it, includes lighter weeknights and busier weekends

Cases and Procedures

• Psychiatric assessments, evaluations, and diagnosis for acute adult inpatient patients
• Mental status exams and ongoing treatment evaluations
• Interpretation of psychological testing as clinically indicated

Requirements

• Must be an MD or DO
• Psychiatry board certified, or board eligible within 5 years
• Active North Carolina medical license required, will not wait for license
• EPIC charting, experience preferred
