Overview

The Cliffs is a gated golf community on Possum Kingdom Lake in Graford, TX. We are seeking a qualified PGA Golf Professional. The Golf Professional reports to the GM-Director of Golf; designs, promotes and directs all golf activities. Controls annual and monthly budget for golf operations. Orders merchandise and supplies for the golf shop. Maintains an attractive, orderly appearance in the pro shop. Supervises the maintenance of golf cars and golf car maintenance personnel. Supervises the pro shop personnel. Design and conduct golf clinics and training programs. Collects charges and fees for all golf-related activities. Organizes and conducts club golf tournaments. Interprets, educates and enforces golf club rules, policies and regulations.

Experience Required

• PGA Class "A" Member in good standing.

Two+ years of experience as a Head Golf Professional or similar position.

Essential Responsibilities

1. Operate and manage the golf shop operations and promote sales of golf equipment, merchandise, and sportswear adhering to the parameters set by Double Diamond Resorts.

2. Operate and manage the golf practice facility adhering to the parameters set by Double Diamond Resorts.

3. Provide golf lessons and instruction to be given for a charge which shall be in keeping with acceptable rates, customs, and practices in the marketplace. All reasonable requests for instruction shall be honored by the Golf Professional and his teaching staff. Golf Professional receives 100%.

4. Assist in the planning and execution of all golf programs at the Cliffs Resort; specifically, such planning and administration shall include tournaments, clinics, and consultations.

5. Establish and promote a Junior Golf Program equivalent to the programs of prevailing similar clubs.

6. Maintain and assume responsibility for the Cliffs Resort's golf handicapping system.

7. Assist in enforcing all golf and facility rules while reporting all violations formally to the GM-Director of Golf of the Cliffs Resort.

8. Advise and assist in weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual publicity and public relations programs relating to all golf activities at the Cliffs Resort.

9. Maintain close relationship and cooperation with the GM-Director of Golf and Golf Course Superintendent in an effort to ensure quality control of facility grounds, golf course conditions, and golf practice facility conditions. Personally, shall tour, inspect, and play the course weekly to monitor the condition of the course and improvements being made thereon and shall report in writing to the GM-Director of Golf and appropriate other agents any suggestions necessary or advisable.

10. Keep adequate books and records or computer entries as to the business activities of the golf shop operations including but not limited to cart rentals, guest fees, and merchandise sales. In addition, the Golf Professional may submit to the GM-Director of Golf a detailed report of all golf business activities under his supervision on a more frequent basis if required.

11. Prepare and present a detailed budget plan for the entire golf shop operation over which he or she has control, to the GM-Director of Golf, for each fiscal year.

12. Oversee and direct entire golf operation staff including but not limited to assistant golf professionals, teaching professionals, merchandisers, and service staff.

13. Provide superior customer service to all members and guests of the Cliffs Resort.

14. Maintain the golf car fleet by supervising all maintenance procedures, documenting car conditions, and repairing carts as necessary.

15. Attend all meetings and/or consultations as a representative of the golf shop operations and professional golf staff as required.

16. Manage and maintain a proper, clean, organized, merchandising operation including but not limited to all product displays, shop cleanliness, and counter presentation.

17. Perform all other duties assigned by resort management.

18. Always behaves in a professional manner, representing Double Diamond and The Cliffs Resort in such a manner as to enhance their reputation.

19. Recognizes that "Safety is a Value," and that all job duties are performed safely and effectively in all areas of responsibility.

20. Upholds quality and productivity standards and maintains interaction with customers and employees.

21. Ensure that all equipment is functioning properly, to eliminate service interruptions.

22. Provides suggestions to enhance service levels, productivity and profitability.

23. Communicate closely with all departments to ensure seamless guest experience.

24. Enforces all government, client and Double Diamond corporate requirements.
