Description
The College of Dentistry, Dental Clinics at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking a full-time academic professional Director of Central Sterilization to provide leadership and oversight for the predoctoral sterilization and instrument management operations within the College of Dentistry.
The Director will responsible for directing the central sterilization team that manages proper inventory control, safeguarding, maintenance, sterilization, and dispensing of all dental instruments, equipment, and materials, as well as overseeing the College's prepatient care and clinical inventory/dispensary systems.
Candidates must have a bachelors degree in Dental Hygiene, Health Sciences or a related field. Minimum five (5) years' of relevant experience in sterile processing, dental/medical instrument management, or clinical operations experience. Masters degree in a health-related field is highly preferred.
The ideal candidate must have a strong understanding of clinical dental processes and practices. Outstanding skills in oral and written communication, including public presentations are preferred along with proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.

The budgeted salary range for the position is $85,000.00 to $100,000.00. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, while also considering internal equity.
