Mid-Continent Public Library is the largest library system in the Kansas City metropolitan area serving over 800,000 residents in Clay, Jackson, and Platte counties in Missouri. MCPL currently has 32 branches and approximately 800 employees and an Administrative Headquarters located in Independence, Missouri. Our mission is to enrich our citizens and communities through expanding access to innovation, information, ideas, and inspiration with a vision of creating the best public library experience in North America.
