Job Description

The research assistant (part-time) will serve as a member of the Epigenomics and Computational Biology Laboratory in the Department of Biomedical Sciences and Pathobiology, VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech. The research assistant will work (remotely) with a team of scientists and researchers on cutting-edge research at the intersection of neuroscience and biomedical informatics to address significant biological questions. The initial appointment for this part-time position will be one-year with performance-based and funding-based extension.

Required Qualifications

A B.S. in computer science is preferred, but an undergraduate with major in computer science is also acceptable;
Proven experience in TDP-43 related pathology;
Proven skills in programming languages and software environments are required.
