Job Description Summary:

The IT-Director, Clinical and Ancillary Applications ensures that the organization and our patients maximize the benefit of a wide array of technical resources and tools designed to expand our knowledge and enhance understanding of disease, to offer superior treatment options at reduced costs, close to home and throughout survivorship.

Blending strategy, team building, technical expertise, and leadership, the IT-Director, Clinical and Ancillary Applications will drive a variety of technology projects across all care settings to enable the health systems’ digital transformation strategies. 

As a dynamic senior leader, the IT-Director, Clinical and Ancillary Applications will partner with technical and operations teams to help grow and deliver on the strategic roadmap, prioritize projects, set organizational expectations, and “get into the weeds” when needed. This leader serves as a key advisor to the organization on matters related to core business applications, enhancing capabilities, leveraging feature and product designs, improving usability, and serves as a resource to affiliates, facility leaders, physician leaders and end-users.

This position will report to the Vice President of Enterprise Applications and will collaborate with the executive, senior and clinical leadership teams.

Position Qualifications/Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, Business, Informatics, Nursing, or related field of study.

Previous Experience:

  • Minimum ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in IT. Five (5) years’ experience in progressively responsible leadership positions. Demonstrated understanding of clinical technology, electronic health records, application implementation, an understanding of IT infrastructure, industry awareness, and demonstrated familiarity with technical portfolio management, budgetary planning, and project management. Ability to multi-task and manage complex issues with executive stakeholders in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex informatics solutions to clinical and executive audiences. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience managing and maintaining and enterprise electronic health record (EHR).
  • Experience deploying enterprise applications supporting legacy technologies, and evaluating emerging technologies.
  • Skill in effectively engaging management level staff, employees, and stakeholders to build partnerships, achieve strategic initiatives, and attain organizational goals.
  • Experience and success at anticipating and responding to the needs of internal and external customers is required.
  • Organizational change management experience.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office applications including MS Word, PowerPoint and advance Excel skills

Certifications/Licenses:

  • Valid Florida Driver License for travel to clinics.  Must comply with the company’s Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy

Travel:

  • Will be expected to work at any of our location to help meet our business needs, including overnight stays. (>25%)

Standard Work Days/Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 40 hours; office hours 6 am to 6 pm with flexible scheduling as agreed with leadership.
