Homes for All AmeriCorps program provides the perfect opportunity to gain resume-boosting skills while helping families and households secure and maintain safe, healthy, affordable housing. An AmeriCorps position can also work as a practicum placement.
HOMES, Inc. is seeking (1) AmeriCorps Volunteers in a housing services positions.
AmeriCorps Volunteers commit to a one-year term of service beginning in September and serve 1700 hours by August 31st, 2027. Volunteers receive a living allowance of $20,400, money for college or student loans in the amount of $7,445, health insurance, childcare assistance (if income eligible), loan forbearance, student loan interest payments, training, and professional and personal development.
Activities:
- Client Paperwork and Support: obtain necessary documentation needed for services, referrals, or programs.
- Intake and Assessment: complete intake process with new clients to assess housing needs and make referrals when appropriate.

Other Information:
- 1700 hours to be served by the individual by August 31st, 2027
- The daily schedule is agreed upon between Volunteer and site supervisor
- Some overnight travel and stays for training and service projects required
- AmeriCorps placements can double as practicum/internship
Requirements
- Willingness to provide information to complete and undergo a National Service Criminal History Check
- Be at least 17 years of age at the start of service
- High school diploma or GED
- Citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident of the United States
- Willingness to travel periodically
