Description

The Legal Department at Community Care Physicians in Latham is hiring a full-time Associate In-House Counsel to join their team! The hours are Monday - Friday; 9:00am - 5:00pm. 

Responsibilities:

• Review and draft proposed contracts, assist in the negotiation of contracts, and ensure that contracts meet business and legal objectives;
• Provide legal advice with respect to corporate governance and administration;
• Assist in preparing and reviewing corporate documents including bylaws, minutes, resolutions, policies, procedures, and forms;
• Provide legal guidance and support for various practice activities and issues;
• Support CCP TASS risk management activities by anticipating and guarding against legal risks to Community Care Physicians, PLLC;
• Monitor pertinent legislative and regulatory developments;
• Educate board, management, health care providers, and other staff when necessary;
• Assist in overseeing outside counsel; and
• Assist in handling complex legal matters, business transactions, or other projects as assigned.

Annual salary range: $125,000 - $187,500

Requirements

All candidates must have the following, or substantially similar, qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school
• Five (5) years Health law experience in private practice or as in-house counsel
• Admission to practice law in New York within 180 days of hire
