*Starting rate $70,000*
Advocates is seeking a Family Support Clinician. You will provide services contracted through the Department of Children and Families (DCF), helping families to build skills, resolve clinical challenges, and access resources. You will support families in navigating a wide range of issues, including trauma, behavioral health challenges, complex family systems, and substance use. Services are delivered primarily in families’ homes and in other community locations.
We offer a collaborative team environment, weekly individual supervision, group supervision, and ongoing training. We are committed to helping our staff obtain licensure. Minimum Education Required Master's Degree
Responsibilities
Conduct assessments of strengths and needs
Complete crisis plans and coordinate treatment planning, in collaboration with family members
Provide individual and family therapy
Identify community resources and develop natural supports for youth and parent/guardian
Provide comprehensive care coordination
Provide coaching and skills training to youth and/or parent/guardian
Participate in on-call rotation providing support to families
Requirements
Master’s degree in social work, mental health counseling, or related license-eligible field from an accredited university.
At least two years of providing clinical services to children and/or families.
Strong computer knowledge and ability to use an Electronic Health Record to document services.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Outstanding reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
Strongly prefer that a candidate will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
Ability to read and write English.
Must have valid driver’s license. Must have access to an operational and insured automobile and be willing to use it to transport members.
