Description

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for developing, implementing, and supporting reporting, analytics, and business intelligence solutions to meet the information needs of the organization. 

  • Capability to meet with stake holders to gather requirements for reports and dashboard,

  • design and develop Power BI solutions,

  • extract data from multiple sources, transform and / or manipulate data, look for trends and recommend solutions in analyzing metrics,

  • work with BI Developers to implement BI solutions, ensure accuracy and consistency of BI solutions, design and develop reporting services reports, provide guidance, training, and problem-solving assistance to others,

  • develop stored procedures and views to support custom reporting,

  • independently and effectively organize and manage multiple assignments.

  • troubleshoot problems and suggest alternatives, looking beyond the obvious to find answers, and create and maintain internal documentation on systems support techniques, processes, applications, etc.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT or related major, preferred.  

  • Previous Experience: - Minimum of 2 years Data Warehouse and Multi-Dimensional modeling experience preferred. -

  • Proven experience as a BI Developer. - Health Care experience is preferred. -

  • Strong experience in Microsoft BI technology (SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI Pro). - Experience with SSAS Tabular Model, DAX Language, and documenting technical solutions, preferred. -

  • Project and time management skills preferred. -

  • Minimum of 4 years of SQL report writing, business intelligence experience or statistical analysis. -

  • Experience in a report production environment with Reporting Services, PowerBI, and Excel is essential. -

  • Experience with Ad-hoc and custom reporting requests. -

  • Independently and effectively organize and manage multiple assignments with challenging deadlines. -

  • Troubleshoot problems and suggest alternatives, looking beyond the obvious to find answers. -

  • Have an advanced working knowledge of reporting and analytics tools including SQL, Visual Studio, Reporting Services, Excel, PowerBI Pro.

  • Self-motivated and self-starter with ability work independently with limited supervision.

  • Ability to work remotely effectively as required.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-site environment with demonstrated ability to juggle competing priorities and demands from a variety of stakeholders and sites.  

  • Computer Skills: Must understand the differences between Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

  • Experience in SQL Server 2014 / 2016, SSMS, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Tabular Model, DAX Language, using dimensional model, PowerBI Pro dashboards and reports.

  • Advanced understanding of relational database architecture and business intelligence.

  • Ability to validate, standardize and cleanse data when needed.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and partner with senior level staff to determine business goals and objectives.  

  • Certifications/Licenses: ITIL V.3 Certified preferred.

  • Valid state Driver’s License for travel to satellite offices and offsite meetings.

  • Compliance with the company Driver Safety Operations and Motor Vehicle Records Check Policy is required  

  • Travel: less than 25%
