Position Summary:
Leading orthospine group is seeking a CNIM to join their surgical support team. This role is critical in monitoring the integrity of neural structures during complex spine procedures. The ideal candidate will be CNIM-certified and comfortable with frequent travel to hospital locations across NYC, Brooklyn, and New Jersey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform intraoperative neurophysiological monitoring (IONM) during spine surgeries to assist in preserving neurological function
• Monitor and interpret somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEPs), motor evoked potentials (MEPs), electromyography (EMG), and other modalities as required
• Communicate real-time data to the surgical team, including any significant neurological changes
• Set up and calibrate monitoring equipment in OR environments prior to procedures
• Maintain accurate, detailed intraoperative records and prepare post-operative reports
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR staff to ensure patient safety
• Travel regularly to affiliated hospital sites in NYC, Brooklyn, and NJ
• Maintain CNIM certification and adhere to all applicable guidelines, including HIPAA and patient privacy regulations

Requirements

Qualifications:

• CNIM certification required (ABRET)
• Willing to train a newly certified CNIM
• Strong knowledge of neuroanatomy and IONM modalities
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in high-pressure OR environments
• Willingness and ability to travel regularly to multiple hospital locations
• Reliable transportation and flexible schedule to accommodate early morning surgical starts
