A privately owned outpatient medical practice is seeking an experienced and dependable Medical Office Manager to oversee daily office operations and support the continued delivery of efficient, patient-centered care within a physician-led setting.
This position plays a central role in maintaining operational stability, supporting providers and staff, and ensuring both clinical and administrative workflows function smoothly. The ideal candidate understands the pace, responsibility, and discretion required in private practice medicine and is comfortable managing operational decisions while supporting a collaborative team environment.

Position Overview
The Medical Office Manager serves as the operational lead for the practice and is responsible for coordinating staff, managing workflow efficiency, and overseeing insurance-related processes including prior authorizations and referrals.
This position requires a professional who is comfortable exercising independent judgment in supporting providers and managing day-to-day operational decisions within the practice. The successful candidate anticipates operational needs and resolves workflow challenges proactively to support efficient patient care.
Qualifications
Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CMA, CCMA, or equivalent) required
Registered Nurse (RN) strongly preferred
Minimum five years experience in a medical office or outpatient clinical environment
Prior supervisory or office management experience preferred
Strong understanding of medical office workflow and patient coordination
Demonstrated experience obtaining insurance prior authorizations and managing referral processes
Primary Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the medical office
Supervise and support administrative and clinical staff
Maintain efficient patient scheduling and office workflow
Coordinate and oversee:
Insurance verification
Prior authorizations
Referral management
Payer communication and follow-up
Serve as liaison between providers, staff, patients, and insurance carriers
Maintain compliance with office policies and healthcare regulations
Identify operational needs and implement workflow improvements when appropriate
Support providers in maintaining a productive and patient-focused clinical environment
