Overview of Division/Department Asia-Pacific Credit Department ("APCD") is a credit department managing and controlling credit risk in Asia Pacific region. APCD, with its offices located in Singapore, HK, Sydney, Shanghai and Tokyo, is dedicated to assess the risk from various banking products such as corporate finance, trade finance, real estate finance, acquisition finance
and project finance.
APCD's roles in Mizuho Financial Group is to
1) assess the risk of transaction with an approval authority,
2) monitor the creditworthiness of customers to keep the group's portfolio sound,
3) establish risk appetite strategy in the region to optimize risk-return balance of the portfolio and
4) function as risk insight hub for various branches in the region.

Job Responsibilities 1. Primary coverage: Corporate Finance
2. Supplementary coverage: Credit analysis on Financial Institutions, Leveraged finance and Non-Resource Real Estate Finance
Responsibilities:
1. Performing risk reviews on credit proposal (Loan etc.) from front offices, like India branches.
2. Making recommendation on proposed transactions to the management of the department for their approval
3. Discussing with front offices for better structure, terms and conditions to make the transaction bankable
4. Assigning credit rating to customers
5. Performing periodical credit reviews and monitoring of customers and transactions
6. Gathering information on the customers, industries and countries for credit reviews and market monitoring
7. Giving guidance to front offices on transactions and customers from credit risk view
Job Requirements - Bachelor's degree or any equivalent qualification
- 5 - 10 years of working experience, managing large corporate credit assessment within the financial industry
