The Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council Foundation (DFWHCF) is a non-profit 501C3 organization dedicated to collective healthcare improvement in the North Texas region across 17 key counties and close to 120 member hospitals.

JOB SUMMARY
The Workforce Center Director leads regional collaboration efforts that strengthen the healthcare workforce pipeline and improve the workforce experience across North Texas. This role convenes hospital leaders, nursing and HR executives, clinical educators, community colleges, workforce boards and other partners to drive industry-aligned workforce solutions.
Key priorities include identify and manage workforce grants, with a strong emphasis on job training initiatives that provide value to hospitals, oversee a large annual recognition event for non-management hospital employees, and facilitate collaboratives that support workforce pipeline development and other region-wide workforce efforts. The Director also oversees clinical placement coordination – currently for nursing and planned for allied health, manages regional workforce data collection and dissemination, and ensures operational, financial and partnership excellence across all Workforce Center initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead regional collaboratives with hospital HR leaders, CNOs, clinical educators and community partners to strengthen the healthcare workforce.
Identify workforce grant opportunities, prepare grant applications, and manage grant execution. The primary emphasis is job training opportunities that benefit member hospitals.
Plan and execute regional workforce collaboratives, including a large annual recognition event for non-management hospital employees.
Coordinate clinical placements and onboarding processes for nursing programs with future expansion to allied health.
Collect, analyze and share regional workforce data to support decision-making.
Build and maintain strong relationships with member hospitals and key stakeholders across the workforce ecosystem.
Manage budgets, contracts, billing requests and ensure the Workforce Center remains financially sustainable.
Contribute to Foundation-wide initiatives, strategic planning and continuous operational improvement.
Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business, education, social sciences or related field.
Five to ten years of experience in nonprofit, membership organizations, or similar environments focused on collaboration, program execution and grants.
Demonstrated ability to convene diverse partners, build trust and lead multi stakeholder initiatives.
Experience with healthcare workforce issues strongly preferred.
Excellent communication skills including public speaking, executive level presentations and professional writing.
Strong project management skills, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with collaboration and event tools such as SharePoint, Eventbrite and SurveyMonkey.
Strong financial acumen for budgeting, invoicing and contract management.
Team oriented mindset with flexibility, adaptability and a collaborative working style.
