Position may be physically strenuous and demanding requiring exposure to all weather conditions, including, severe hot and cold outdoor temperatures.

Hours of work may vary dependent upon situational factors, emergencies, and/or crisis management requiring night(s), weekend(s), and/or holiday(s) response.

Reporting to the Trucking Services Supervisor, this position is responsible for the transport of materials (freight/recycling) to and from specified locations, including loading and unloading vehicles; manually picking up and moving various materials (i.e.) recycling, waste, surplus equipment/furniture and special events resources, etc., from locations on/off campus via stairways, elevators, and dock locations; and ensuring excellent customer service.

The Trucking Driver Lead supports the Trucking Services Supervisor in providing direction and oversight of team members in their successful completion of daily tasks; Ensures assigned work schedules are maintained by staff and job duties completed on a daily basis; In the absence of staff, ensures all customer areas are covered by recommending to the Trucking Services Supervisor any adjustments to schedules as needed.

MS Windows/Outlook; KRONOS/Dimensions

Demonstrated knowledge of mechanics; driver's courses; etc.

HS + 3 Years professional driving experience
