Join one of the world's largest premium spirits suppliers and take responsibility for managing a critically important states of Washington and Alaska in our US business. You will be responsible for managing all the business needs in both states, from complete P&L responsibility, wholesaler management, driving the execution and overseeing the delivery of the Suntory ambition both short and long term. You'll have the opportunity to partner with dedicated distributor marketing and sales teams and work closely with key cross-functional stakeholders to build our business together by driving overall State performance and delivering on Beam Suntory's strategic priorities.
Location: Washington (WA)
Role Responsibilities
- Challenges and works collaboratively with distributor partners in the states of Washington and Alaska.
- Actively engages cross-functional stakeholders.
- Determine strategy, resources, and budget to achieve plan objectives for the State.
- Enterprise-wide thinking: turns analysis into planning and actions against channels and consumer opportunities.
- Lead the States of Washington & Alaska to achieve maximum profitability, market share, and sales depletions.
- Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual review meetings with distributors to assess opportunities, address business concerns and evaluate key programs.
- Uses tracking, reports, reviews, insights and interaction to ensure continuous alignment of partners and team members on vision and goals for the State.
- Understands the attitudes and motivations of key people and addresses these in a position of influence
- Inspire, empower, and engage team members to achieve sales objectives through outlining vision aligned with teams goals and personal aspirations
- Responsible for coaching, development and succession planning
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in the alcoholic/beverage industry (Supplier or Distributor).
- Demonstrated success in off and on-premise sales preferred.
- Stakeholder management and experience with the ability to influence and effect change.
- Experience managing multiple markets and channels with a territory(s) with a significant budget (State Manager II/III)
- People Management Experience.
- Comprehensive understanding of budget management, including P&L responsibility.
- Strong analytic capabilities.
- Strong solution-based thinking.
- Licensed drive of motor vehicles.
- Physical Demands - While performing the essential functions of this job, daily physical activities may include, but aren't limited to:
- Lifting/lowering, pushing, carrying or pulling of up to 45 lbs.
- Sitting, standing, walking, bending, reaching, stopping, and typing using a computer.
Salary Range - The salary range for this role, based in Washington is $140-150k, along with an annual bonus, 401K match, profit sharing, and medical and wellness benefits. The salary range is commensurate with the candidate's location, experience, and skillset. The range will vary if outside of this location.
