Description

Conducting health screenings
Administration of medications via various methods; performance of procedures per Physician/Provider orders
Providing basic first aid; must maintain CPR certification
Ability to follow written Physician/Provider orders
Assuring medical equipment is properly maintained and remains in functional working condition
Communication between GGC Administration, School System faculty/Administration, students and parents
Compliance with policies and procedures; health and safety regulations at all times
Accurate medical record documentation
Participates in mandatory training sessions
Various other duties as necessary or assigned

As expected with all healthcare positions, must adhere to HIPAA/OSHA/BLOODBORNE PATHOGEN regulations and maintain all required workplace trainings.

Associates or better in Nursing.

Experience

Willing to care for children with complex medical needs.

Preferred

Knowledge of ventilator, tracheostomy, and gastronomy tube care preferred but not required.

Previous pediatric or school nurse experience a plus.
