M-F, Day Shift
Pay Range
$23.65 - $35.50
Schedule: Full Time, Monday through Friday. Day Shift.
Supports delivery of patient care by purchasing and maintaining an optimum inventory level of supplies for High Point Surgery Center.
Education Degree/Diploma Obtained Program of Study Required/Preferred: High School Diploma, or GED General Studies
Required Certifications and Licensures Credential Required/Preferred: None
Experience # of Years/Type of Experience Required/Preferred: 2 Purchasing of pharmaceuticals and supplies required; Scrub Tech or Sterile Processing Tech experience preferred.
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Knowledge of computer systems required
Job Specific Duties:
Manages the purchasing/receiving of drug/supply orders from the wholesaler/suppliers
Manages the computer system set up with the wholesaler
Resolves purchase orders problems and billing errors when they occur
Manages the transfer expenses/billing for High Point Surgery Center
Maintains accurate prices in applicable computer system
Invoice Tasks Accurately posts invoices within 5 days of receipt
Upholds a professional working relationship at all times and adheres to department rules.
Practices teamwork and adheres to Standards of Behavior.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Physical and Behavioral Requirements - Physical requirements include occasional reaching - Frequent sitting, standing, and walking - Medium physical force is required (exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects) - Visual acuity to accurately interpret prescription orders and other written documents - Ability to speak and hear is required to communicate with staff - Sense of touch to operate computer and telephone - Ability to effectively manage stress resulting in a pharmacy setting or environment
