Artha Bharat Group is building a next-generation, globally oriented pension platform from GIFT City IFSC, pursuant to the IFSCA (Pension Fund) Regulations, 2026. As one of the first movers under India's new IFSC pension framework, the Group is committed to delivering subscriber-centric, long-term retirement solutions with global reach and institutional-grade governance.
The Principal Officer is a regulated Key Managerial Person (KMP) responsible for end-to-end oversight of pension fund operations. This is a senior leadership position central to the organisation's governance, regulatory interface, and investment oversight functions.
The role is full-time and on-site at GIFT City IFSC, suited to professionals seeking to work at the intersection of regulated finance, institutional governance, and cross-border retirement solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Regulatory Compliance & Governance
Act as the primary regulatory point of contact with the International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA)
Ensure full compliance with IFSCA (Pension Fund) Regulations, 2026 — including periodic filings, disclosures, and supervisory interactions
Support board-level governance, oversee the risk management framework, and maintain scheme integrity
Maintain the fund's compliance calendar and ensure audit readiness at all times
2. Investment & Fund Oversight
Provide strategic oversight across all pension schemes — covering investment strategy, asset allocation, and risk parameters
Ensure adherence to approved Investment Policy Statements (IPS) and applicable regulatory investment limits
Monitor portfolio performance, liquidity positions, and risk metrics across USD-denominated and cross-border portfolios
Manage relationships with custodians, trustees, and third-party service providers to ensure operational and fiduciary integrity
3. Operations, Reporting & Team Leadership
Coordinate all regulatory reporting, fund disclosures, and subscriber communications
Oversee operational workflows including subscriber onboarding, NAV computation, unit allocation, and grievance redressal
Recruit, mentor, and lead a high-performance team aligned with the organisation's governance standards and growth objectives
Requirements
Eligibility & Experience
Mandatory (Regulatory Requirements)
Postgraduate qualification in Finance, Economics, Capital Markets, Business Management, Banking, Insurance, Accounting, or equivalent
OR a recognised professional qualification such as CFA, FRM, or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience (10+ years strongly preferred) in one or more of the following:
– Pension fund management or administration
– Asset or fund management
– Investment or portfolio management
– Financial institutions managing client or subscriber assets
Willingness and ability to be based full-time at GIFT City IFSC, Gandhinagar
Preferred (Not Mandatory)
Prior experience with regulated entities — IFSCA, SEBI, IRDAI, PFRDA, or overseas financial regulators
Exposure to pension systems, defined contribution frameworks, long-term savings products, or cross-border investment mandates
Familiarity with trustee-custodian structures and institutional governance practices
Experience managing or overseeing USD-denominated or multi-currency portfolios
