Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our healthcare team. In this role, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to provide high-quality physical therapy services and help patients achieve their functional goals.
Responsibilities:
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Deliver therapeutic exercises, manual techniques, and modalities as appropriate
- Monitor patient performance and report progress or changes to the Physical Therapist
- Instruct patients in safe and effective home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards
- Educate patients and families about therapy goals, safety, and treatment expectations
- Assist in maintaining clinic organization and ensuring a safe, clean environment
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to coordinated patient care
- Support quality improvement and continuing education initiatives
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current Texas PTA license
- Valid BLS/CPR certification
- Solid understanding of physical therapy principles and modalities
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and patient engagement skills
- Excellent documentation and electronic medical record (EMR) proficiency
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team
- Commitment to patient-centered care and ongoing professional growth
- Experience or interest in orthopedics, sports medicine, or outpatient care preferred
