We are seeking an experienced and skilled Ophthalmic Technician to join our excellent team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will provide critical support to our ophthalmologists and optometrists, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and clinic efficiency. We are looking for a professional with a minimum of two years of experience in the field and a strong commitment to excellence in ophthalmology.
Duties:
Conduct comprehensive patient screenings, including visual acuity, tonometry, and other diagnostic tests
Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists with advanced diagnostic procedures and patient examinations
Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring proper sterilization of equipment
Accurately document patient information and maintain up-to-date medical records
Educate patients on eye care, treatment plans, and contact lens use
Efficiently utilize electronic medical record systems for data entry and retrieval
Experience:
Minimum of two years of experience as an Ophthalmic Technician or in a similar role
In-depth knowledge of ophthalmology terminology, procedures, and equipment
Proficiency in electronic medical record systems
Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and accurate spelling
Strong computer and typing skills
Skills:
Thorough understanding of ocular anatomy and physiology
Expertise in aseptic techniques to maintain sterile environments
Ability to deliver outstanding patient care with compassion and empathy
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong multitasking abilities to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
