Location: Massachusetts (North Adams, Pittsfield, Amherst)
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 annually, $3000 sign on bonus
Lead Clinician About the Role
UCP of Western Massachusetts is seeking a Lead Qualified Clinician to provide clinical support to adults with autism and developmental disabilities receiving family support services. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact and we are looking for someone motivated about building clinical practices and competencies. A large component of this role is supporting the Positive Behavior Support Initiative coming from the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services (DDS). Note: If you are in the process of obtaining your Massachusetts license within the next 6 months and meet the experiential requirements, you are encouraged to apply.
Lead Clinician Responsibilities
- Deliver direct clinical services, including Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), Positive Behavioral Support (PBS) interventions, crisis support, and training for staff and families.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and attend Individualized Support Plan (ISP) meetings.
- Develop and monitor PBS plans and ensure compliance with DDS regulations.
- Provide proactive in-service training and act as a resource for staff on clinical challenges.
- Serve as a certified PABC instructor and implement emergency techniques as needed.
- Foster collaborative relationships with DDS and community partners.
- Maintain accurate documentation in UCP’s Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Lead Clinician Benefits

Requirements
Qualifications:
- Current Massachusetts license as one of the following: Psychologist, LICSW, BCBA/LABA, Speech Pathologist (master's/doctorate), Physician, Special Education Teacher (master’s/doctorate), or LMHC.
- Note: If you are in the process of obtaining your Massachusetts license within the next 6 months and meet the experiential requirements, you are encouraged to apply.
- Minimum 5 years of training and/or experience in function-based behavioral assessment and treatment for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
- Experience with autism, developmental disabilities, and behavioral concerns.
- Strong communication skills, cultural competence, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work in-person at least 60% of the time; remaining time may be remote or office-based.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel across Berkshire County and Pioneer Valley.
- Ability to implement PABC techniques in emergencies, including kneeling and physical restraint, and to travel frequently. Reasonable accommodations available.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 and remote platforms (e.g., Zoom).
