Description

This role contributes to the design and delivery of landscape architecture projects while collaborating closely with studio leadership and multidisciplinary teams. The position is responsible for developing design solutions, producing construction documentation, and supporting project management to ensure successful project delivery. The Landscape Architect may oversee portions of project work, coordinate with internal teams and consultants, and contribute to client presentations.

Requirements

Education and Experience:

•          Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Landscape Architecture
•          Licensed in Landscape Architecture preferred
•          5-10 years of professional experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

1.       Produce complete sets of construction drawings and specifications
2.       Coordinate with project consultants and internal team members
3.       Manage internal team workflow and support project schedules and deadlines
4.       Assist in project programming, analysis, and design development
5.       Support construction administration activities, such as site visits, responses to contractor questions and review of submittal and shop drawings.
6.       Manage or assist in the creation of client presentations and visual communication materials
7.       Mentor junior staff and contribute to a collaborative studio environment
8.       Meet project deadlines and maintain quality standards

Competencies:

1.       Strong understanding of landscape architecture and planning principles
2.       Fluency in communicating design ideas verbally and visually
3.       Strong knowledge of accessibility and life safety codes
4.       Understanding of local zoning codes and regulatory requirements
5.       Ability to translate design ideas into detailed documentation
6.       Strong written and verbal communication skills
7.       Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
8.       Ability to give and receive constructive feedback
