Job Summary
This senior leadership opportunity is ideal for a seasoned banker who brings deep experience advising founder‑owned and privately held middle‑market businesses. The Managing Director will lead deal origination and execution, expand client relationships, guide strategic initiatives, and help develop the next generation of talent inside the firm.
The role is well suited for a professional who thrives in a collaborative environment, embraces a hands‑on leadership style, and is motivated by meaningful client impact. Sector expertise in technology or adjacent verticals is valuable but not required; what matters most is a strong track record in middle‑market advisory and a relationship‑driven approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end‑to‑end transaction execution across M&A, capital advisory, and other strategic engagements
- Originate new client relationships through established networks and thoughtful business development strategies
- Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, boards, and senior leadership teams
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape practice growth and firm-wide initiatives
- Mentor, coach, and develop junior bankers and analysts
- Contribute to market thought leadership and internal knowledge-building
Requirements
- Extensive experience advising privately held and founder‑led companies within the middle market
- Proven network with business owners, private equity groups, attorneys, accountants, and other referral sources
- Demonstrated success managing full transaction lifecycles-from pitch through closing
- Strong client‑facing skills with the ability to articulate complex financial ideas clearly and credibly
- Prior leadership experience and a commitment to developing emerging talent
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of investment banking, corporate finance advisory, or related experience
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant certification (e.g., CFA, ASA, MBA) preferred
- Recognized for professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to high‑quality work
