Centra Medical Group is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Gastroenterologist to join our inpatient team at Lynchburg General Hospital, located in Lynchburg, Virginia. This hospital-based role collaborates with our long-standing independent group, Gastroenterology Associates of Central VA.

Lynchburg General Hospital is a Level II Trauma Center with 360 beds, delivering emergency and critical care services to 85,000+ patients annually. You will work in an advanced clinical setting with a wide range of cases including cardiac, thoracic, neuro, cath lab, ortho, general surgery, and trauma, supported by a cardiac center recognized nationally for excellence.
Our inpatient environment is reinforced with 24/7 coverage from acute care surgeons, hospitalists, and interventional radiologists, giving you the resources you need to provide exceptional GI care.

Responsibilities
Focused inpatient consultations and procedures
Average 10–15 consults per day
APP support dedicated to inpatient consults
Monday–Friday schedule with 6–8 weeks of vacation
1:9 call, shared with the independent local GI group
Time off covered by the Gastroenterology Associates group
Consult-only service — hospitalists handle all admissions
Opportunity to perform outpatient procedures
Qualifications
Valid, unrestricted medical license
Completion of an ACGME-accredited residency
Board Eligible / Board Certified
ERCP training preferred
