What You Will Do
- Manage and administer the University's Student Employment (SE) program, including on- and off-campus employment, the referral process, customer service, student payroll, the Federal Work Study (FWS) Program, and the Job Locator and Development (JLD) Program.
- Oversee technical processes that support Student Employment operations and selected Financial Aid functions.
- Monitor federal and state regulations related to Student Employment and recommend policy and procedure updates to maintain compliance.
- Provide direction, training, and support to staff within the area, including the Payroll Specialist III and Clerk.
- Coordinate the development and maintenance of the Student Employment policy and procedure manual.
- Assist the Vice Chancellor, Director, and Senior Associate Director with special projects and initiatives related to Student Employment.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, communications, humanities, social sciences, or a closely related field to the position.
- One (1) year (12 months) of professional experience working in student services, financial aid/loans or a closely related field within higher education or a related agency.
NOTE: Master's Degree in an area consistent with the duties of the position may be substituted for one (1) year (12 months) of work experience.
AND
- One (1) additional year of professional training and/or work experience in financial aid and/or Human Resources.
- One(1) year (12 months) of supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications - Demonstrated experience with Federal Work Study Programs and Regulations
- Experience with Payroll forms and compliance

Illinois Residency Requirement: Pursuant to the State Universities Civil Service System, out-of-state candidates must establish Illinois residency within 180 calendar days of the start date for this position.
