The Events Affiliate Coordinator's position primary focus is selling and servicing affiliate/local bookings. This position acts as the liaison between meeting planners and the hotel staff. Responsibilities include: creating and executing contracts, administering the agreement, detailing all food, beverage and A/V needs, some management of room blocks, billing instructions and final review. Events Affiliate Coordinators are on-site contacts and are responsible for the smooth execution of all events. This position is entry level into event planning and event sales management.

WAGE: the wage for this position is $30/hour. This is the pay we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual pay decisions will depend on a variety of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, and operational needs.

Qualifications

• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast paced environment.
• Refined verbal and written communication skills
• A minimum of 1 year of hotel event sales/event planning or comparable experience preferred
• Must be proficient in general computer knowledge
• Candidates should be extremely detail oriented, organized and be able to handle a fast paced environment
• Sales and situational training is helpful
