UK King's Daughters Medical Center, located in downtown Ashland, KY, is a 455-bed hospital offering comprehensive care across a wide range of specialties, including heart and vascular, orthopedics, oncology, digestive health, stroke/neurology, and maternity services with a Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.In June 2025, the hospital opened a brand-new Emergency Department designed to maximize patient privacy, comfort, and safety. The state-of-the-art facility includes 86 treatment areas, 60 private rooms, four trauma bays, two CT scanners, a dedicated behavioral health unit, isolation rooms with decontamination showers, a STAT lab, and specialized EMS and first responder workspaces. A Provider-in-Triage service helps ensure timely care for patients with less critical needs.
