Elementary Assistant Principal
REPORTS TO: Building Principal
JOB SUMMARY
This position assists the school principal in the areas of instructional leadership, staff development, and student discipline.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists the principal with the evaluation and supervision of programs and staff.
Facilitates conflict resolution and positive communication with students, parents and community members.
Supervise students and administer school and district attendance and discipline policies.
Models instructional leadership and demonstrates a strong commitment to equitable outcomes for all students.
Leads staff in the use and facilitation of technology in the delivery of curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
Participates in and provides professional development and models current and best instructional practices.
Manages the effective operation of the school within allocated resources and district and state regulations.
BENEFITS/COMPENSATION:
2026-2027 Contract: 218 days
Salary range: $138,848-$151,856
Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision (SEBB through HCA), flexible spending accounts, Life and Disability.
Retirement: Employees may be eligible for retirement benefits through the Washington State Department of Retirement Systems (DRS). Eligibility is based on FTE.
Vacation Leave: 30 days annually with the ability to cash out 10 days and roll over 5 days to next contract year.
Sick Leave: 12 days annually
Personal Leave: 5 days annually
Such alternatives to the above requirements and desirable qualifications may be made as the district find appropriate and acceptable.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s Degree in educational administration or related field
Washington State Principal certification
Prior successful teaching experience
Demonstrated leadership and management qualities
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands, fingers, and talk frequently.
Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Close vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less).

Ability to adjust focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
