Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
At LIOC the utmost function and responsibility of our providers is to ensure the patient is receiving the best care and experience as possible. It is important to maintain a doctor-patient relationship, displaying excellent bedside manner. The office is staffed to support our doctors as needed. One should expect to be available to work afternoons, weekends, and remain on-call. With a growing practice, one should also be motivated to build a patient base within the practice. The provider should enjoy working with a team, in a fast-paced environment.
Additional functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Completing comprehensive eye exams, performing cataract surgery, working under practice pattern protocols, deep understanding of diagnostic equipment and interpreting test results, proficient with documentation and knowledge of the EMR, writing prescriptions as needed, supervising onsite technicians, monitor the clinical flow, handle patient phone calls, review patient charts, maintain referral connections and relationships with other doctors, naturally intuitive with marketing, innovative with developing the practice through the shift of healthcare and technology, and lastly desire to practice medicine and grow.
Qualifications:
The provider must have an NPI, be board certified, and a graduate of an accredited school of ophthalmology with a valid license to practice in the state of New York. One must have experience with treating disease, interpreting tests, and performing cataract surgery. It’s important to have excellent communication skills, professional attitude, and appearance. Willingness to go the extra mile, grow and build a patient base within the practice.
