Job Description
Boston Vision is seeking the addition of a comprehensive ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon and/or medical retina specialist due to expansion (acquiring two practices), succession planning as well as a current physician decreasing his time. The practice has 7 offices around Boston and we would be seeking help primarily in the northern offices: Burlington and Medford. The practice has an established administrative and technician team, already working with ophthalmologists, retina and cataract surgeons.

Minimum Requirements

Must hold a Medical Doctorate Degree (MD) in Ophthalmology

Completion of 1 Year Internship and 3 year Ophthalmology Residency
Call Duties
Primary call at Boston Vision is split among MDs with 50% of the call taken by the Cornea Fellow. Amount will fluctuate based on number of MDs in the pool but typically is 3-4 weeks/year. In addition, doctors are credentialed through Beth Israel Deaconess (BIDCO) and must cover call a few weeks per year (backup a resident).
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Full Time.
Travel
Boston Vision is primarily looking for coverage in Medford and Burlington offices but some flexibility is expected in the early months, possibly Lawrence location.
