This position is Remote in Las Vegas, NV. This position is full-time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends.
We offer 8 weeks / 2 months of paid training in the office. The hours during training will be 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST. Training will be conducted on - site.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Under the manager's direction, functions as a Clinical Administrative Coordinator in the Utilization Management department
- Primarily responsible for initiation of cases by data entry of clinical into the Facets system, via telephone, fax or computer
- Electronically routes cases to the nurse for review and decision
- After decision, is responsible for accurate case completion to include generation of approval letters while staying within compliance with time frames
- Communicates with providers of other departments as needed
- Works independently with minimal supervision
- Collaborate with clinical team to ensure compliance with regulatory timeframes
- Provide a high level of customer service while communicating with internal departments and provider office staff as pertains to performance of job responsibilities
- Responsible for achieving key indicator goals
- Follow departmental policy regarding accurate documentation of clinical data, demographic and product information, provider / facility contract status
- Appropriately route cases to RN for clinical review
- Follow department policy for non-clinical level notifications

Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 2+ years of experience in a healthcare facility, medical office, hospital, OR managed care setting
- High volume call center experience in a related environment (e.g., office, call center, customer service), using phones and computers as primary job tools
- Experience with medical terminology, ICD - 10, and CPT codes
- Experience with using Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates) and Microsoft Teams (communication)
- Ability to work Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM PST (Pacific Standard Time). It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime and weekends
Telecommuting Requirements:
- Reside within a 60-mile commutable distance to 2716 North Tenaya Way, Las Vegas, NV, 89128.
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). The hourly pay for this role will range from $17.98 - $32.12 per hour based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
