Description
Cardiology Opportunity in New Hampshire
A respected 169-bed community hospital affiliated with a major academic health system is seeking a BC/BE General Cardiologist in southern New Hampshire. This is an opportunity to step into a fully built-out, outpatient-focused practice with a robust echo lab, on-site cardiac CT, and a collaborative team, backed by the resources of a leading regional academic network. Light call, a protected schedule, and real growth potential in cardiac CTA make this a standout opportunity.
Practice Overview
- You'll join a team of 4 cardiologists, 1 exercise electrophysiologist, and 3 APPs in a fully employed model, with tertiary backup from a major academic heart and vascular center
- Non-invasive and outpatient-heavy; active echo lab (24 to 30 studies/day), on-site cardiac CT/CTA, TEE (approximately 8 to 10/month), stress testing, and ECG interpretation; no STEMI call required
- Call shared equally at a 1:4 rotation; overnight callbacks are rare; no return-to-hospital required after 11 PM
- A hybrid cath/EP lab is planned within the next 3 to 5 years
Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM; 4.5-day work week option available; 36 patient-facing hours plus 4 hours of protected administrative time weekly
- Outpatient clinic sees 14 to 16 patients per day; inpatient rounding is light (weekend daytime only); no overnight hospital return obligations
- APPs handle follow-up visits, keeping your schedule focused on new consultations and procedural work
- Optional time allocated to cardiac imaging interpretation, including CTA, with real opportunity to grow and lead that program
Compensation & Benefits
- Base salary upwards of $500,000+, MGMA-aligned, with a two-year guarantee; wRVU productivity incentive model post-guarantee
- Sign-on bonus and relocation up to $15,000; $6,000 CME fund every two years with 10 CME days annually
- Retirement up to 10% employer contribution; malpractice at $1M/$3M with full tail provided
- 4 weeks PTO; J-1 waiver supported; PSLF eligible
Candidate Requirements
- BC/BE in Cardiovascular Medicine; AMGs and IMGs welcome; J-1 visa support available
- Open to 2026/2027 graduating fellows and experienced physicians
- Commitment to patient-centered, community-based care and local clinical accountability
- Interest in cardiac CTA or imaging is a meaningful differentiator
Community & Location Highlights
- New Hampshire offers a walkable, historic New England setting; excellent schools, low cost of living, and 2 hours to Boston
- Hiking, skiing, kayaking, and fall foliage in the Monadnock Region; an exceptional base for an active lifestyle
- Genuine community-medicine feel; you'll know your patients and have real impact on the region.
- Manchester-Boston Regional Airport under an hour away; Boston Logan roughly 2 hours
